About Babak Bamdad
An experience pharmacist, Babak Bamdad studied Talmudic law at Ner Israel Rabbinical College in Baltimore, Maryland, before going on to study molecular biology and biochemistry at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), where he received the undergraduate research award. Babak Bamdad completed his education by earning his doctor of pharmacy at Long Island University (LIU). While there, he received numerous honors, including the Pharmacy Residency Excellence Award and the Preceptor Award.
After completing his pharmacy doctorate, Babak Bamdad took a position as the night pharmacist-in-charge at Lincoln Hospital in New York City. Within six months, he was promoted to his current role as the hospital’s director and chief of the pharmacy department. His duties in this position include hiring, training, and supervising all employees while ensuring the pharmacy remains compliant with federal and state regulations.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Bamdad gives back to the community through his donations of art supplies and care packages to local homeless shelters. He also enjoys a diverse range of hobbies, including gardening, billiards, and chess.
